INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

2. Disconnect from the Internet, block with a firewall or add the
following line to \Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts :

127.0.0.1 registration.statsoft.com

3. Start installer and when prompted for a CD Key and Net ID use the
keygen in the EDGE dir to generate your key, leave Net ID blank and
press "Next >".

4. When prompted for a Serial Number use the keygen once again and
press "Next >".

5. Fill out some valid email for example dev@null.com - now complete
the installation, if the installer complains that it cannot register
the software, just acknowledge and continue the installer.

6. Copy and overwrite \Program Files\StatSoft\STATISTICA 8\STAT.lic
with the stat.lic located in the EDGE dir on the CD.

STATISTICA 8: Menu-driven statistics on steroids (lots of steroids!)

The Enterprise line of STATISTICA products is designed for multi-user,
collaborative analytic applications. These STATISTICA products contain
the same suite of analytic capabilities as the STATISTICA desktop
applications.

Those analytic procedures are deployed on a server and are architected
for the simultaneous use by tens or hundreds of users.

STATISTICA provides a Windows client, a Web browser client, for full
access to STATISTICA capabilities and reports through an industry-
standard Web browser, and deployment options for thin-client access
to STATISTICA across a Wide Area Network (WAN).

The STATISTICA Desktop line of products is designed for deployment on
a single workstation. STATISTICA spreadsheets, configurations and macros
are all stored on the User's local workstation as a stand-alone
application.

STATISTICA's Desktop products are licensed very flexibly, allowing you
to select from the list of STATISTICA's analytic capabilities to suit
